Student Ombuds
LCC’s Student Ombuds resource offers a confidential opportunity to voice, clarify, and discuss college-related student issues. They provide students with information about existing channels for conflict resolution, appeals and grievances, and support services available at the college, and offer options regarding these services and procedures. The ombuds is also an "agent for change," recommending modifications and improvements to rules, regulations, policies, and procedures that are unclear, inequitable, or unfair.
The ombuds process is informal: Does not maintain records, adjudicate, arbitrate, or participate in formal processes.
The ombuds process is impartial: Considers the interests and concerns of all parties involved to achieve a fair and equitable outcome.
